This Privacy Policy describes how the Mindar browser extension ("the Extension", "we", "our") handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Data Collection

2.1 What We Collect

The Extension collects and processes the following data only when you explicitly trigger an action (e.g., clicking "Save" or "Download"):

Web page content — The text, links, and media from the webpage you choose to save.
Page metadata — URL, title, and description of the webpage.
Media URLs — Image and video URLs for download purposes.

2.2 What We Do NOT Collect

We do not track your browsing history.
We do not collect personal information beyond what's in your Mindar account.
We do not use analytics, cookies, or tracking pixels.
We do not read or modify any webpage content without your explicit action.

3. Data Usage

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Saving to your Mindar knowledge base — Content you save is transmitted to the Mindar API (api.mind.medrixai.com) for storage in your knowledge base.
Local downloads — Content you download is saved directly to your computer's Downloads folder. No data is sent to any server for local downloads.
User preferences — Your settings (language, download format, download directory) are stored locally in Chrome's storage and never transmitted.

4. Data Storage & Transmission

Knowledge base saves — Content is transmitted over HTTPS to api.mind.medrixai.com using your existing Mindar authentication token. Data is stored in your Mindar knowledge base according to Mindar's platform privacy policy.
Local downloads — Content is saved directly to your local file system. No network transmission occurs.
User preferences — Stored in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local). Never leaves your browser.

5. Authentication

The Extension reuses your existing Mindar web application login session. When you log in at app.mind.medrixai.com, the Extension reads the authentication token from the webapp's localStorage to authenticate API requests. We do not store or transmit your password.

6. Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates exclusively with:

api.mind.medrixai.com — Mindar API for knowledge base operations.
app.mind.medrixai.com — Mindar web application for authentication.

No other third-party services, analytics, or advertising networks are used.

7. Permissions Justification

8. Data Retention

Knowledge base content — Retained in your Mindar account until you delete it.
Local downloads — Retained on your computer until you delete them.
User preferences — Retained in Chrome local storage until you uninstall the Extension or clear browser data.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Uninstall the Extension at any time via chrome://extensions/.
Delete any saved content from your Mindar knowledge base.
Clear your preferences by uninstalling and reinstalling the Extension.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the updated Extension listing on the Chrome Web Store.
